Skirmish at Longbay Landing

Overview

On April 10th, 2021, players were able to witness a live roleplay event that took place in Longbay Landing. All of the allegiances arrived in the town for the confrontation, consisting of the Dark Followers, Phoenixes, Auralocks, Werewolves and Vampires.

Storyline

In the early hours of March 7th, Chief Auralock Matt Griffiths placed a bounty of 100,000 Gold on the Dark Hand, which was made up of Dark Follower leaders. Dark Followers Henry Chimera and Sara Selwyn of the Dark Hand were later kidnapped and brought to Longbay Landing. Each allegiance quickly arrived at the town with their own reasons. However, Arabella of the Phoenixes found that a potion located in the town was unstable, which would cause an explosion. This led to all of the allegiances working together to complete three tasks. The first was to free Henry and Sara from their cages, then, evacuate the citizens, and, finally, lessen the range of the potion’s destructive effects. Before the explosion, Sara realised that there were ingredients that could be used for other means. However, the process to retrieve them would be dangerous. The Vampire Queen Chailey decided to locate them and was followed by the Vampire Count Aure. Unfortunately, Chailey was the only one to return. At the conclusion, all of the allegiances got into a tense argument before leaving in separate ways.

Activities

Dark Follower Breakout

To begin this activity, players spoke to the Ariel DeBlume NPC. Players were informed of winged keys found around the town. These were to be collected to free Sara and Henry from their cages.

Evacuating the Citizens

Many of the townspeople needed to be evacuated before the potion exploded. However, some were uninterested in leaving their homes until they had some of their belongings with them. Players needed to locate these items in order to evacuate the citizens. These items included fishing equipment, a family photograph, a Bowleaf, and a book.

Explosives

As previously mentioned, the unstable potion needed ingredients added in order to lessen its effect. Players needed to locate Unicorn Hair, Mermaid Tears, and a Pearl to put into the potion. In addition, players had to find 6 powerboxes and shut them off to prevent any fire from spreading.

Daily Diviner Article

On March 7th, 2021, a Daily Diviner article was released. It informed players of the 100,000 Gold bounty placed on the Dark Hand. This article also mentioned the involvement of the Vampire Queen Chailey in searching for the Dark Hand.

Daily Diviner Article

A few days before the event took place, on April 7th, 2021, another Daily Diviner article was released. This announced that Henry Chimera and Sara Selwyn of the Dark Hand were already captured. In addition, the time and date of the live roleplay event were published in the article.
