Attack on the Ministry

Overview

Attack on the Ministry was a live roleplay event that occurred at the Auralock base on June 20th, 2020. The live event was driven by the Dark Followers’ and Phoenixes’ desires to take down the corrupt Ministry leader, Shakti Bhardwaj. Depending on the chosen alliance, players were tasked with multiple different activities to help the allegiance they sided with. These activities included collecting information, creating explosives, or making warp keys to help escape. In the end, the Phoenixes came out on top by completing the most tasks in 15 minutes, and each allegiance was given an exclusive collectable.

Storyline

After the destruction of both the Phoenix and Dark Follower bases during Operation 83-C, these two allegiances made the decision to create an unlikely alliance with the sole purpose of taking down the corrupt leader of the Ministry, Shakti Bhardwaj. After a lot of discussion and scheming, the plan was set into action on June 20th, 2020. 

The inner circle members of the Dark Followers and Phoenixes managed to confront Shakti, but she was able to escape using magic. After this confrontation, the Phoenixes were put in charge of collecting information of her whereabouts, the Dark Followers were tasked with creating explosives that would be used to blow up the Auralock base, and the Auralocks were frantically making warp keys to try to escape.

A final battle occurred at the end of the live event where the Dark Followers, Phoenixes, and Shakti Bhardwaj faced off against each other. However, the Lord of the Phoenixes, Joshua Pendragon, and the Dark Lord, Joel Crestello, disagreed on what to do now that Shakti had been surrounded and was on the defensive. While Joshua wanted to arrest her, Joel instead thought that she should be killed because of all the corruption she had caused. In the end, Joel ignored Joshua’s attempts at trying to reason with him and cast Mortiavra on Shakti. Not only did this end her life, but it also caused the newly found alliance between the Phoenixes and Dark Followers to be broken.

Activities

There were three different activities players could complete depending on their chosen allegiance. Players were able to gather the materials for each activity by finishing a parkour, solving different codes, and completing a trivia. 

Dark Follower Activity

The Dark Followers were tasked with creating magical explosives that would allow them to blow up the Auralock base in order to get to Shakti Bhardwaj. Items that needed to be collected included a Fuse, Rhinumpent Horn Core, and Gunpowder. Each explosive created would contribute to the Dark Followers’ points in the event. 

Phoenix Activity

Rather than being in charge of creating something, the Phoenixes were tasked with gathering classified information on Shakti Bhardwaj’s location after she was able to escape from their grasp earlier. Items that needed to be collected included an Auralock Invoice, Auralock Document, and Auralock Memo. Each information folder crafted would contribute to the Phoenixes’ points in the event. 

Auralock Activity

The Auralocks were on the defensive due to the attack. Because of this, those siding with the Ministry were tasked with making warp key bags in order to help the Auralocks escape before the destruction came. Items that needed to be collected included Charm Dust, a Silver Key, and an Enchanted Gem. Each warp key made would contribute to the Auralocks’ points in the event.

Potterwatch Video

A video was uploaded showing the creation of an alliance between the Dark Followers and Phoenixes as a way to take down the Ministry. Throughout the video, a plan was developed to create a way for these two allegiances to enter and destroy the Auralock base from the inside and take down Shakti Bhardwaj.

Rewards & Collectables

Exclusive rewards and collectables were able to be obtained throughout this event by the completion of tasks and general participation in the live event.

Players could redeem an additional reward, The Bhardwaj Crystal, by entering the correct code in Shakti's Watch, which was awarded during this event.
