Overview

Magically Delicious is the sixth quest in the First Year Experience. Jeremiah directs the player to the Magical Cuisine Professor to learn about the assignment, which includes making a cake out of [1 Dragon Scale], [1 Wiggleworm Egg], and [1 Wiggleworm Mucus]. Thankfully, Jeremiah has a way to get to the Grounds Keeper’s Hut quickly to retrieve the [1 Dragon Scale].

Quest Progression

To begin this quest, speak to Jeremiah in the Hogsworth Kitchens.

Dialogue

• [1/2] Hey! I don't know how I got here before you, but you're a little late, and the professor already explained the assignment.
• [2/2] You should probably go up and ask about it, I'm sure I'll explain it wrong. It sounded a little complicated.

Objective 1 - Talk to the Magical Cuisine Professor

Description

Ask the Magical Cuisine Professor what you're supposed to be cooking today, since you arrived to class late.

Dialogue

• [1/4] Ah, I was wondering when you'd show up. You're a little late, but no matter, welcome to today's Magical Cuisine lesson! A class where we will learn about foods with very special properties.
• [2/4] These special properties will help you in your journey to become a stronger wizard as they can provide extra damage or resistance in combat.
• [3/4] Today, you will be making a magical cake out of dragon scales. The main ingredient, dragon scales, empowers you and gives you resistance!
• [4/4] Would you like to proceed with the lesson?

Objective 2 - Return to Jeremiah

Description

The professor has given you instructions to make a Dragon Scale Cake. Maybe Jeremiah knows an easier way of getting the ingredients!

Dialogue

Magical Cuisine Professor

• [1/2] To begin making this cake, you will first need to make a batter out of [1 Hot Dragon Scale], as well as [1 Wiggleworm Egg] and [1 Wiggleworm Mucus] from the Wiggleworm in the Quad. Our Grounds Keeper, Reuben Hagrius, probably knows where to get the dragon's scale.
• [2/2] Once you have collected all of the ingredients, return here to use one of the ovens.

Jeremiah

• [1/1] Listen up. This might be a long shot, but I overheard some of the older students whispering about a Hippogriff earlier. They said it's just standing outside the Great Hall.
• [2/5] I'm thinking we might be able to use it to get to the Grounds Keeper's Hut!
• [3/5] Just go back up to the Great Hall and find it. I read about them in one of our Care of Magical Creature books on the train, they're basically white horses with wings and beaks.
• [4/5] Also, be careful. I also read that they have a nasty kick if you don't approach them slowly and carefully. Maybe try crouching?
• [5/5] Oh, and can you grab me a scale, too? I'm not sure how I feel about dragons...

Objective 3 - Find a Hot Dragon Scale

Description

Ride the Hippogriff outside the Great Hall to find Reuben Hagrius outside the Grounds Keeper's Hut. He may know where to get [1 Hot Dragon Scale].

Dialogue

Grounds Keeper

• [1/2] Yer here for [1 Hot Dragon Scale]?
• [2/2] Go ahead and head over to Herberta.

After retrieving the scale

• [1/2] Well done! Not many a first year can de-scale a dragon so easily. I'll go ahead an' slip an extra scale in yer pocket for such a job well done.
• [2/2] Hurry on back to the kitchens now! On withit!

Jeremiah

• [1/5] You did it! Did you make sure to grab one for me, too?
• [2/5] Excellent. All that's left is the Wiggleworm stuff. You'll have to kill them to get what you need.
• [3/5] So, remember those Serpent students who took my class schedule? Well, they're in this class and I saw them do something that may help us.
• [4/5] Have you ever heard of a Warp Key? Basically, it's an enchanted object that takes you to a specific location.
• [5/5] Well, I watched those Serpents make one out of a sock behind the menu board. I'm sure it's not perfect, we're first years after all, but it might be good enough to get you where you need to go.

Objective 4 - Retrieve Ingredients

Description

Use the makeshift sock warp key behind the menu board to travel to the Quad, and retrieve [1 Wiggleworm Egg] and [1 Wiggleworm Mucus] for the cake batter. Return to Jeremiah once finished.

Dialogue

• [1/4] Whew! That was a little sketchy... remind me not to trust magical objects made by Serpents.
• [2/4] Regardless, we did it! All that's left is to make the cake and show the professor.
• [3/4] Now, where did that crafting table go... Oh! I see it! Right at the foot of the Raven table. Then we just gotta pop the crafted batter in the oven!
• [4/4] I'm gonna go hand mine in. Hopefully, I didn't botch this recipe...

Objective 5 - Craft the Dragon Scale Cake Batter

Description

Use the crafting table at the foot of the Raven table in the Kitchens to craft [1 Dragon Scale Cake Batter].

Objective 6 - Bake the Dragon Scale Cake

Description

Use the ovens in the kitchens to craft [1 Dragon Scale Cake], and return it to the Magical Cuisine Professor.

Dialogue

Magical Cuisine Professor

• [1/5] Woah, that was quick! How on earth did you get all the way to the Grounds Keeper's Hut and back already?
• [2/5] Well, nevermind that. Let me have a taste...
• [3/5] Mmm! Very nice cooking, this cake turned out perfectly! Go ahead and keep a slice for yourself.
• [4/5] If you ever want to make this again, feel free to use the ovens behind me.
• [5/5] That concludes today's Magical Cuisine lesson. You are all dismissed!

Jeremiah

• [1/1] Hey, get over here! I got it! I made the cake!

Objective 7 - Talk to Jeremiah

Description

Go back over to Jeremiah by the Honeybadger table in the Kitchens so that you can talk about your next class.

Dialogue

• [1/4] You know, I quite like this class. It wasn't nearly as stressful as the others.
• [2/4] Of course, I didn't have to grab the dragon scale myself...
• [3/4] Anyways, I'm assuming you have Potions next, too?
• [4/4] Great! I'll meet you there. Use your [Class Schedule] to attend the next lesson.

Tips

• Follow the green particles to find the Hippogriff in the Grand Courtyard.
• Both the Hippogriff and Herberta require you to crouch.
• When retrieving the scale, select the one that seems to shimmer.
• After getting the required mob drops from the Wiggleworms, use the sock to return to the Kitchens.
• The Cooking Ovens are located across from the Magical Cuisine Professor.
