Learn to brew a potion in your very first Potions class at Hogsworth.

Objective 1 - Speak to the Potions Professor
Description
Speak to the Potions Professor in the Rudimentary Potions Classroom.
Dialogue
- [1/2] In today's class, you will be brewing a Potion of Fairy Flight, which gives the drinker temporary speed and agility.
- [2/2] And for a quick pop quiz, what is the key ingredient of this potion?
The Potions professor will then ask a potions-related question.
- [1/4] I see you have done your summer reading!
- [2/4] Now, to brew this potion you will need to gather [1 Fairy Dust] by slaying Fairies in the ruin courtyard, which you can find by exiting the dungeons using the stairs at the far end of the hallway passed the Carnage Count.
[3/4] The other ingredients you will be able to find in my storeroom. Be careful to only choose the following ingredients: [1 Pearl], [1 Morning Dew], and [1 Pegasus Blood]. Other ingredients I keep in my storeroom are very dangerous! - [4/4] Come back once you have all the ingredients and I will show you how to brew them into a potion.
Objective 2 - Gather Ingredients
Description
To brew this potion, you will need to obtain [1 Fairy Dust] by killing fairies near the greenhouses along with a [1 Pearl], [1 Pegasus Blood], and [1 Morning Dew] from the crates in the professor's storeroom in the hallway. Show the professor your ingredients when you have finished gathering them!
Objective 3 - Brew a Potion of Fairy Flight
Description
Click on the cauldron with green sparkles, then follow the hologram instructions in order to brew [1 Potion of Fairy Flight]. Return it to the Potions Professor once it is complete.
Dialogue
- [1/7] I see you have collected all of the ingredients. Now, onto brewing your potion!
- [2/7] The first thing you will need to do is heat up your cauldron. To do this, click on the furnace.
- [3/7] Once it is heated properly, you can place ingredients into the cauldron and stir the mixture.
- [4/7] The next piece of equipment is a brewing stand, which is the tallest item on the table. This is used for secondary brewing while preparing ingredients for the cauldron.
- [5/7] The last thing you will need to use is the chopping board. You can use the clear tablespace to alter ingredients by chopping, cutting, or peeling them.
- [6/7] Make sure you are always holding the correct item or ingredient, or you may fail to brew the potion! Your brewing can also fail if you take too long to complete it.
- [7/7] You may now head over to the cauldron with green sparkles and begin brewing.
Follow the Professor’s instructions in the correct sequence to brew the potion.

- [2/4] You can come back to this classroom to hone your brewing skills.
- [3/4] To get the ingredients needed to brew more potions, you can either buy them from other wizards at the marketplace or slay magical creatures and gather herbs across the wizarding world.

Tips
- Potions is one of the three professions on Potterworld. Potions grant players special buffs after consumption, which can be extremely helpful in many tasks such as killing mobs, surviving longer, and fighting other players.
