Daily Diviner Team

Overview

The Daily Diviner team is in the Media department of Potterworld and has both non-staff and staff roles. Together, the Writers, Editors, and Producers, Advisor, and Lead write, edit, and publish articles about the server biweekly. These articles are published in-game and online. Daily Diviner Writer (Non-staff)

Daily Diviner Writers are team members that write the articles published in the Daily Diviner. They are knowledgeable about different types of writing. The Daily Diviner features 5 different columns a writer can write articles for (Feature, Editorial, Student Spotlight, Lifestyle, and Original Works).

Requirements

• Must be knowledgeable in the English language and writing mechanics.
• Must be at least 13 years old.
• Must be at least a level 31 or above (if you have reset, you must have been level 31 or higher before resetting).
• Must be able to use Discord with a microphone.
• Must have access to a private G-Mail account.
• Having a clean record on Potterworld is recommended, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Writing assigned articles that uphold the standards set for the Daily Diviner.
• Actively communicating with the Media Leadership and DD Producers.
• Working with DD Editors & other team members to create content.

Daily Diviner Editor (Non-staff)

Daily Diviner Editors edit all articles before they are published in the Daily Diviner. They are knowledgeable about different types of writing and are skilled in grammar. They check articles for quality, consistency, and accuracy.

Requirements

• Must be knowledgeable in the English language and writing mechanics.
• Must be at least 14 years old.
• Must be at least a level 31 or above (if you have reset, you must have been level 31 or higher before resetting).
• Must be able to use Discord with a microphone.
• Must have access to a private Gmail account.

Responsibilities

• Edit the assigned articles so it upholds the standards set for the Daily Diviner.
• Write assigned articles in the case that a Writer is on hiatus, ill, or otherwise indisposed.
• Actively communicating with the Media Leadership and DD Producers.
• Working with DD Writers & other team members to create content.
• Having a clean record on Potterworld is recommended, but not required.

Daily Diviner Producer (Staff)

Daily Diviner Producers manage the creation of each issue of the Daily Diviner. They are involved in all parts of the issue creation process, from assigning articles to publishing the finished articles. They also play a major role in the hiring and managing of team members.

Requirements

• Must have been on the staff team for at least 2 months.
• Must have writing experience.
• Must have the qualities of a leader & be skilled in communication.
• Must not take frequency hiatuses and be willing to dedicate time to the position.
• Having experience on the Daily Diviner Team is recommended, but NOT required.
• You must have permission from your Head of Department before applying.

Responsibilities

• Coming up with article topics and assigning them to Writers.
• Ensuring Writers & Editors meet their deadline.
• Meeting Producers deadlines for assignments and publishing.
• Approving articles after they've received editing.
• Creating article books & organizing the web-edition before announcing their release.
• Actively communicating with the Media Leadership team.
• Working with other team members to create content.
