Potterpoints

Potterpoints (PP) are a form of currency that can be used towards purchasing store items. These are obtainable through different competitions and roles on the server.

To view how many Potterpoints you have, you can type /bal or /balance.

Earning Potterpoints

Potterpoints can be earned through multiple competitions or by being a staff member. We will also be adding the option of exchanging voting tokens for PP in the future!

Staff/Team Member

Being a staff/team member is one of the most common ways of receiving Potterpoints. Every staff member receives a certain amount of PP each month as a form of payment for their help on the server. Team members will also be paid Potterpoints with the amount dependent on the work they have completed each month. Every role gets a different amount depending on their responsibilities.

Tournaments

When a player wins a Dueling/Flying tournament they will also get Potterpoints as part of their reward. The 1st place winner of a tournament receives 500 Potterpoints along with additional rewards (gold, House Points, etc.).

Other Competitions

On certain occasions, Potterpoints might be given out to the winners of a special competition that is being held (art, writing, media).

Using Potterpoints

Potterpoints are used to purchase items found in the store (100 PP is equivalent to $1 USD). Not every store item will be available to purchase with PP, but a majority of them will be.

In order to purchase a store item using Potterpoints, a player must click on the “Potter Points Store” icon located in the top left of /me. You will then be able to flip through different pages and options to find which item you would like to purchase. On special occasions (like birthdays) you might also be able to purchase an item for someone else with your own PP by making a support ticket.
