Overview

This event lasted from October 23rd until October 30th, 2020 and allowed players to explore the Werewolf Cave and Vampire Manor through the Roleplay Hub in the Great Hall. Despite players being able to traverse both areas, most would eventually choose a side in the war. Though, some players chose to play on both sides. Players would contribute to their side by gaining points through different activities. After the event ended, the Werewolf Cave and Vampire Manor were made a permanent fixture of Potterworld with both builds made accessible through the Roleplay Hub.

Storyline

During a recent break-in at the Ministry, the Vampires had stolen a one-of-a-kind gift that was presented to the Auralocks from the Werewolves at the Werewolf Rights Rally. The gift was a cure for lycanthropy as well as vampirism. Following the break-in, the two groups agreed to meet up, but the Vampires refused to give the ingredient back. This caused the Werewolves to declare war on the Vampires. Eventually, with the help of the player base, the Werewolves secured their victory, with an almost 2500 Battle Point difference. The Werewolves’ victory was cemented during a live roleplay event, Skirmish at the Vampire Manor, the day after the event ended.

Activities

Battle Points

Players contributed Battle Points to either the Vampires or Werewolves side for the duration of the event. Each side had parkour and a maze that could be completed for Battle Points. If a side reached a certain amount of points, an exclusive collectable was unlocked.

Hidden Areas, Interactions, and NPCs

Throughout both the Werewolf Cave and Vampire Manor, players could talk to NPCs that were scattered about. Most often, these NPCs were Werewolves or Vampires themselves. There were also hidden areas and 17 interactions that players could discover in both bases. Those who were able to speak to every NPC or find all interactions in each base were able to receive a special collectable.

Vampire Crypt

Hidden underground in the Vampire Manor was a Vampire Crypt where players could read about many past Vampires. The Crypt also contained a quiz based on their history, which, upon completion, would allow them to receive a special pendant collectable.

Finding Diary Pages and Papers

Pages were hidden around both the Vampire and Werewolf bases, three in total. These pages could be collected and combined together.
