Potterworld's 2nd Anniversary 2016

Overview

This event took place on May 18th, 2016 to celebrate the 2nd Anniversary of PotterworldMC. During the event, multiple new duelling areas were released for players to show off their skills. Speeches from PotterworldMC’s staff were posted on the official YouTube channel for the event.

Storyline

There was no storyline for this event.

Location

The event took place entirely within Hogsworth and primarily in the Great Courtyard. Here, stalls with purple and orange overhangs were set up for students to purchase collectables. There was a large purple trampoline placed in the centre of the courtyard for students to play on. Large purple hot-air balloons floated above the Great Courtyard.

Additionally, purple banners and streamers decorated the courtyard and the Great Hall. The house-themed carpet on the tables inside the Great Hall was replaced with purple and white carpet.

A large cake was hidden somewhere in the castle, where a Droobledore NPC and an abcdefgwynn NPC allowed students to purchase additional rewards.

Staff Drop Parties

There were random drop parties held throughout the day where staff members would provide students with rewards.

Daily AC

An anniversary-themed daily riddle was released on the day of the event and completing it earned players a special prize. The riddle was, “Now’s the time for celebrating, Happy Birthday is what we sing. We are only turning two, Where he sat, watched as we grew. The Time-Turner has not been found. He stands tall at his podium ready to speak, Protecting us all when times are bleak. Unlike all the rest, unique in spirit, Here’s to many more.”

The anniversary riddle gave students an Anniversary Riddle Token that could be traded at an NPC in the Great Hall for the Special Anniversary Riddle Scarf.
