Overview

The Werewolf base is home to the roleplay Werewolf club. The base itself is found underground and consists of a large cave system housing various rooms. Several interactions and NPCs can be discovered and interacted with throughout the base. Each one provides lore and insight into the history of the Werewolves. It was released and introduced to the public during the Chapter 2 roleplay event, A Total Eclipse: Vampire vs Werewolf War, on October 23rd, 2020. Players can access the Werewolf base through the Roleplay Hub NPC in Hogsworth’s Great Hall.

Rooms

Meeting Cave

The first cave that players come across is the Meeting Cave. In the centre of this room is a long table set with papers, candles, and books. Chairs line the table with the Alpha and Beta seats placed at the head of the table. The room is filled with dark grey banners with a sword mounted on one of the walls. Here, the Werewolves meet to strategise plans and discuss politics.

Dining Room & Kitchen

The Dining Room and Kitchen can be found in one of the larger caves in the base. The dining area has several tables covered in plates of food and drinks. The dining room has few decorations but is mostly lined with the greenery that has grown throughout the whole base. This homey and welcoming area is where Werewolves come to eat and catch up with one another. Additionally, the kitchen is also connected to the dining room. Right behind the tables is the kitchen area full of sinks, ovens, and stoves to cook up the best food. There is also a smaller cave filled with plants and moonlight is located just behind the kitchen.

Plant Cave

Filled with various flora and greenery, the Plant Cave is a greenhouse-like area of the Werewolf base where a plethora of plants grow. Additionally, a small waterfall and pond can be seen towards the back of the cave. The area itself is well-lit with several lanterns and chandeliers. Werewolves can come here to simply admire the flowers or gather plants to use in various different potions.

Creature Sanctuary

Right beside the Plant Cave, the Creature Sanctuary is full of creatures and pets. The famous Roleplay Cows, Gilbert and Christine, can be found here as well. Just as with some of the other caves, this one is full of greenery as well as a small pond right in the middle. The small nooks within this area contain creatures such as Nifflies, Hippogriffs, Fluffle Puffs, and even Dragons.

Residential Cave

The Residential Cave is a place for the Werewolves to sleep. Filled with several bunk beds, this area is inviting to every Werewolf. Towards the back of this cave is a fireplace and couch area. Additionally, several chandeliers and paintings can be found around the room as well.

Werewolf Library

To the left upon exiting the Residential Cave is the Werewolf Library. As one of the largest rooms, the enormous bookshelves it hosts boasts a treasure trove of knowledge and archives, especially the Werewolves’ history. With high ceilings for chandeliers, there is ample seating and adequate lighting for reading. During the Chapter 2 roleplay event, there was a parkour challenge in this room; however, it is not accessible anymore.

Infirmary Cave

The Infirmary Cave is the place where Werewolves are brought to be treated. The entrance of the cave is large enough to ensure that members are able to be carried in efficiently and safely. Additionally the walls are lined with Wolfsbane as well as other helpful plants. Throughout the cave, there are plenty of beds available where patients can recover.

Beta Cave

To the left upon exiting the Infirmary Cave is the Storage Cave. Moderately sized, this open area contains rows of shelves with chests, potions, and books. Wood columns help reinforce the room for additional stability.

Alpha Cave

To the left upon exiting the Beta is the Alpha Cave. It is this room that the Werewolf Alpha can generally be found. Upon entering, there is an old telescope guarding the way to a study room containing a large desk, a large chair for the Werewolf Alpha, and two audience chairs. Next to the large chair rests a Sorrowseer atop a golden perch. There is also a nearby bookshelf and shelving unit, with a crystal ball, trophy, fang, potions, a stray feather, and a french feather hat. Deeper into the room is a small living room with comfy couches and a cosy fireplace, whereby a staff is mounted on top for display. Further on resides the Werewolf Alpha’s bedroom.

Delta Cave

A fairly unused area, the Delta Cave is a workspace, lounge, and sleeping chamber for the Delta Werewolf. Filled with books of lore and history as well as luxurious furniture, the Delta Cave currently provides a place for Werewolves to come and research information not found in the Library.

Werewolf Hunters Cave

Located towards the end of the main cave, the Werewolf Hunters Cave was a heavily used area for hunter Werewolves in the past. However, as there are not as many hunters now, the cave has not been used a lot recently. Because of this, cobwebs can be found all around the room. Right as players enter this area, a few sofas and a small fireplace can be seen. Additionally weapon racks full of swords, crossbows, and arrows can be found all around the cave. While not as frequently used now, the Werewolf Hunters Cave still contains various weapons and supplies that are ready to be used at any given moment.

Prisons

At the end of the main cave by the waterfall’s end and spiralling rock formations are the Prisons. Here, local Werewolf pack members can imprison themselves during the full moon if Lycanthrope potions are in short supply. This temporarily helps keep the general populous safe from a transformed Werewolf, at least until more potions can be made. Metal bars guard the entrance to this section, and, upon entering, there are multiple deeper cave pockets with prison cells. Blood-stains are scattered about. The centremost cell contains a chair to hold down the strongest and most evil prisoners.

Interactions

Several interactions can be found throughout the Werewolf base that reveal information and lore on the Werewolves’ history. The table below provides a list of these interactions, what they say, and which cave they are located in. However, some do not list the full description and have to be read in the Werewolf base.

A patch of peculiar-looking purple flowers that have been harshly harvested. A nameplate has been scattered on the ground. Extremely poisonous, use caution around this plant." Greenhouse Plant Cave

Cluttered Potions

Many similar-looking potions lay scattered across the countertops, some labelled “Dreamless sleep” and others labelled “Wolfsbane”, it would be wise not to get these two mixed up… Infirmary

Pendant

Inside of the chest is a small pendant of a family of three, a mother, a father, and a daughter. Etched in the back are the words “until we can meet again”. Perhaps it belonged to someone who was in the infirmary? Infirmary

I have just woken up after taking the cure. Though I am still quite weak, I find it urgent to write this all down while it is still fresh in memory. I feel different, whether it be good or bad, I am not quite sure yet…

I finally persuaded Jong to pass the curse onto me. He was very reluctant at first, but something changed and I am not sure what. I asked him if he would for my 19th birthday, as the past few years have been very hard for me…

Events

The Werewolf base was featured during the A Total Eclipse: Vampire vs. Werewolf War as well as The Hunt Stage 1 events.

A Total Eclipse: Vampire vs Werewolf War

This event introduced the Werewolf base to the public. During this event, players were tasked to choose a side to represent: Vampires or Werewolves. If they chose the Werewolf side, they had to complete various activities in the Werewolf base in order to earn points for the team. In the end, the Werewolves were successful in winning the war.

The Hunt Stage 1

The Hunt marked the end of Chapter 2 of roleplay. During this event, players were given a series of riddles that led to various puzzles they had to solve. During The Hunt Stage 1, the fourth puzzle of the event was located in the Werewolf base. Unknown feathers had been discovered in previous events, and players had to locate which creature in the Werewolf base that it came from. A Sorrowseer named Arcane was found in the Alpha Cave, who allowed them to read an encrypted note. This note guided players back to the Werewolves' library. Then, they needed to complete a difficult parkour which rewarded them access to a secret room. Inside this room, scattered notes, letters, and bizarre enchantments were found.

Trivia

  • A Vampire by the name of Casimir Karol once was captured and imprisoned at the Werewolf Base. However, she managed to escape.
