Overview
The annual Winter Waltz of 2019 was held at Dormunstrad. The event commenced on the 2nd of December 2019 and lasted for a month. The Winter Waltz featured new gameplay content and exclusive rewards that were able to be purchased.
Storyline
The people of Dormunstrad were in trouble due to an unknown force cursing their castle. Cursed ice had overtaken the school, with many locations being frozen. Players helped unfreeze five main locations in the castle through forging Bluefyre.
Location
The event was accessed through talking to the Kevin NPC in Hogsworth’s Great Hall Courtyard. Players would then travel to the Hogsworth Boathouse and use the Dormunstrad ship to get to the event. The event took place at Dormunstrad, a castle surrounded by mountains and snow.
Quests
Learning How to Conjure Bluefyre
Players talked to the Kevin NPC at Hogsworth and then travelled to Dormunstrad. Players would then talk to Dragonmir, the Headmaster of Dormustrad, who was located in the school’s Great Hall. Dragonmir explained that the Cursed Ice had frozen their Great Hall, the library, and the dormitories of their three houses: Ulv, Elg, and Fugl. Dragonmir told the player that the only way to unfreeze these locations was through forging Bluefyre, which could be made by obtaining 3 different materials. Players had to first collect Bells of Dormunstrad, which were located outside of the Dormunstrad castle. Then, they had to collect Cursed Ice Shards from the Cursed Ice located around the school grounds. Lastly, players collected Bluefyre Ashes from fiend fyre also found around the school grounds. After collecting these materials, if players had enough Holiday Spirit, which was earned through completing event gameplay, players could forge Bluefyre. Bluefyre was forged by putting each material into their respective pedestal. Players would then return to Dragonmir, completing the quest.
Side Quests
Escape Room Challenge
Players had to help Dormunstrad students who had become trapped inside classrooms due to the Cursed Ice. The players were teleported into four separate classrooms and had to find enough Bluefyre to get everyone out. Players obtained Bluefyre by collecting objects in each room and using them to solve their way into the next room. Upon completing the escape room, players unlocked a collectable that could be purchased at the rewards shop.
Activities
There were many activities that players could partake in during this event. These included minigames, games, and activities. Completing these activities would either reward Holiday Spirit, which was used to forge Bluefyre, or Snowflakes, which was an event currency that could be used to purchase rewards.
