Jared Swain

Overview
Jared Swain is an NPC encountered during multiple graduate quests. The first time Jared is mentioned is during A Tattered Tale, where his name is mentioned on the 5th torn page. On the page, he is only identified as “some sort of expert living in Greenshore” and the player must find him.
The first objective of Scaly Suspicions has the player going around Greenshore Harbour asking other NPCs if they have any information about where Jared could be found. The other NPCs encountered include Homer, Nickie, and Connie, however only one will know where Jared Swain lives.
When first meeting Jared, he is scared and upset after the player breaks into his room. He accidentally lets it slip that there is a secret lab in the facility on the island. After the player collects proof from the lab and shows it to Jared, he agrees to help stop the researchers.
Once the player defeats the Super Dragon and stops the research lead during the Investigative Research quest, returning back to Jared will cause him to thank the player and take over to sort out the mess.
