The story in the journal calls you, urging you to investigate further. However, you can’t do this alone. Finding someone in Greenshore Harbour will allow you to continue your journey.
Quest Progression
To begin the quest, complete the previous quest A Tattered Tale. Then, talk to the NPCs around Greenshore Harbour.
Dialogue
- [1/2] Jared Swain? Never heard of him. Sounds like a nice guy, though.
- [2/2] Maybe ask someone else in town if they know him?
- [1/3] How can I help you, dear?
- [2/3] Jared Swain? I'm sorry, but I have no idea who that is.
- [3/3] Perhaps another resident will know.
- [1/3] Did you say Jared Swain? Oh yes, I know him.
- [2/3] If I'm not mistaken, he's somewhat of an expert in his particular field.
- [3/3] I believe he lives in a house near the library. I'd check there.
Objective 1 - Find Jared Swain
Description
Find Jared Swain and demand information out of him.
Dialogue
Jared Swain
- [1/5] Who are you? Why did you break into my room? What do you want from me?
- [2/5] T-the facility? I don't know anything about it, I swear!
- [3/5] Fine. I know a thing or two. But you're not getting anything out of me!
- [4/5] Besides, I don't know much. Just that the code to enter the secret lab is in the same room as the entrance- oh no!
- [5/5] Y-you heard nothing! I didn't say anything! Get out of my house, now!
Objective 2 - Enter the secret lab
Description
With Jared's hint, find your way into the secret lab in the facility.
Objective 3 - Collect proof of the researchers’ wrongdoings
Description
Bring proof of what goes on in the facility back to Jared Swain.
Dialogue
Jared Swain
- [1/3] What is this? A Dragon scale sample?
- [2/3] Just what were they doing in that lab?! This must be stopped at once!
- [3/3] Fine. I'll help you investigate this horrible affair. Come back to me when you're ready to go.
Tips
- After crafting the lockpick, use it on the bedroom door and complete the puzzle.
