Overview
Meet Zin, a mysterious figure hiding in Vertick Alley, who has travelled far to try to find a dark relic hidden somewhere nearby. He has obtained a mysterious journal filled with nonsense but believes it holds the answer to the relic's location. Seek the aid of others nearby to reveal the location of the relic.
Quest Progression
To begin the quest, speak to the Zin NPC in Vertick Alley, which is an area of wizarding London.
Dialogue
Before accepting
- [1/3] Listen here, Wizard.
- [2/3] You seek riches, yes? Wealth?
- [3/3] I can give you that and so much more. What do you say?
After accepting
- [1/5] For years, I have been hunting ancient relics around our world.
- [2/5] My search has led me far, but I believe I am close to finding one, hidden here in Vertick.
- [3/5] Through my travels, I found this mysterious journal that is supposed to reveal the location, but it's all nonsense.
- [4/5] The only other thing that the journal came with was a scroll, with the name Leota.
- [5/5] Leota must be somewhere here. Find her and find out what she knows about the journal.
Objective 1 - Speak to Leota Hook in Shade Alley
Description
Find and speak to Leota Hook in Shade Alley to find out more about the journal.
Dialogue
- [1/3] A journal?
- [2/3] I remember my father telling me something about it.
- [3/3] I can't give you that information for free, though. 200 gold and I'll tell you everything I know.
The player must purchase the book from Leota for 200 Gold.
- [1/6] Very well, you have paid the price. Here's what I know.
- [2/6] A former owner of a shop in the Crooked Crossroads, my father's former friend, authored the journal, and hid the relic.
- [3/6] I believe he passed many years ago.
- [4/6] However, perhaps the current owner may know something.
- [5/6] Find the entrance to the Crooked Crossroads, and speak to the shopkeeper there.
- [6/6] Good luck my friend.
Objective 2 - Find the Shopkeeper in the Crooked Crossroads
Description
Locate the entrance to the Crooked Crossroads and find the shopkeeper who may have more information on how to decipher the journal.
Dialogue
- [1/5] So, you want to decipher the journal?
- [2/5] Hmm... Yes... The ink is cursed, you see?
- [3/5] You'll need [1 Midnight Lily] to break the curse.
- [4/5] I don't have any on me, but you are free to venture into the caverns below, which I haven't bothered to touch since I came into possession of this shop.
- [5/5] No one has ever entered the cavern and survived. But you may try!
Objective 3 - Find a Midnight Lily in the Cavern
Description
Travel into the caves and find [1 Midnight Lily].
Objective 4 - Return to Morren
Description
Get out of the caverns and find Morren.
Dialogue
- [1/5] You're... back!?!? Impossible!
- [2/5] And you have the flower? Impressive...
- [3/5] Now then, craft the flower and the journal together, and a location should be revealed.
- [4/5] I am warning you though, you have no idea what you may be getting yourself into.
- [5/5] Whoever hid this did not want it to be found.
Objective 5 - Find the Dark Relic for Zin
Description
Use the Journal to find [1 Dark Relic] hidden somewhere in Vertick Alley.
Dialogue
- [1/3] You found it! At long last...
- [2/3] You were warned not to take it, but fear not, I know of what it can do. I'll be safe.
- [3/3] I thank you, and I have a feeling I'll speak to you again soon, as I'll need more help.
Tips
- You will not be able to progress through the Relics of the Past quest line without completing Part I first.
- After completing all 4 parts of Relics of the Past, there is a big payout.
