Relics of the Past - Part III

Overview

Zin has located another relic supposedly hidden in Riddleyard. His acquaintance Asher Wallace explains that the last he heard, the relic was locked away in a secret tomb in the catacombs underneath the graveyard. Search the Riddleyard catacombs and overcome any and all challenges to retrieve the relic.

After accepting

• [1/3] Rumour has it, the last relic I've been looking for is hidden somewhere in the old Riddleyard!
• [2/3] Luckily for us, I've got a... friend here in Riddleyard, named Asher Wallace.
• [3/3] Speak to him, and see if he knows anything more than I do.

Objective 1 - Talk to Asher in Riddleyard

Description

Find Asher in Riddleyard and ask if he knows anything about the relic.

Dialogue

• [1/10] Ah hello!
• [2/10] What can I help you with?
• [3/10] Ah, Zin sent you? What does he want this time?
• [4/10] He's after the Riddleyard Relic, of course he is.
• [5/10] There have been some whispers around town about it, I'll tell you that.
• [6/10] If I had to guess though, it's probably stashed away somewhere.
• [7/10] I don't remember where I heard this story, but rumour has it that there's a hidden vault in the catacombs, beneath the graveyard.
• [8/10] They say a freaky snake statue is down there. Maybe that marks the entrance?
• [9/10] If I were to hide a relic, that's where I would put it!
• [10/10] Good luck!

Objective 2 - Obtain the Relic

Explore the Catacombs under Riddleyard to find the Relic.

Objective 3 - Return to Zin

Description

Return to Zin and give him the relic!

Dialogue

• [1/7] You're back! And you have the Vial! Give it to me!
• [2/7] No? Not until I tell you what I need it for? Very well...
• [3/7] You see, I was cursed to live this life. Long ago, I travelled into the Deep Forest and came across a witch. I was starving, so I attempted to steal food from her.
• [4/7] I failed, and she cursed me to live a half life. You see, I could never die. But I could never live either.
• [5/7] As the years wore on, I began to lose my family, my friends. And soon after, I began to transform. My skin wore away as my bones took its place.
• [6/7] That's why I hide my face. That's why I want the relics, as with them, I can reverse the curse. I'll finally be able to die. Happily. Peacefully.
• [7/7] Thank you for retrieving them for me. I'll be in touch about the final task soon enough.

Tips

• When exploring the catacombs, you will encounter a puzzle. Solve the puzzle in order to get one step closer to finding the relic.
• In addition, you will have to defeat a few creatures that are stuck in the catacombs. Once you defeat the Trapped Souls, you will be able to pick up the relic.
