Overview
Castelomagia is a magical school located in Brazil. The school is located in the middle of a rainforest and features a grand yellow temple. Similar to Hogsworth, the Brazilian school has four houses that students are sorted into. These include Primavera, Animália, Estória, and Aurólia.
Primavera was the first house founded within Castelomagia and is home to those students who are at one with nature. These students have laid-back personalities and are detail-oriented. Those sorted into Primavera tend to be people-pleasers and have a large group of friends. They wear a green uniform that features a pattern of philodendron leaves.
Those sorted into Animália have an innate connection with magical creatures and can gain their trust easily. Animália was the second house founded and has students well-known for their stubborn and ambitious nature. People in this house can easily make friends and tend to think with their hearts and not their head. Animália students wear an orange uniform that has Phoenix feathers sewn into its collar.
Estória was the third house founded within Castelomagia. It is home to those that have old souls and have meticulous attention to detail. Students in this house can come across as lonely and mysterious. They also like to focus on the history of the world as it helps with ancient runes. The Estória uniform is purple and features abstract swirls.
Aurólia is the fourth and final house that was founded. This house features students who are said to one day become masters of Alchemy. Personality traits that are common to the students in Aurólia are slyness, deceit, and very opinionated. The Aurólia uniform is red and features different elemental symbols.
The Castelomagia sorting ceremony involves the student standing in front of four podiums that hold an object that represents each of the houses. The student will interact with each object and then wait for one of the objects to glow. The object that glows indicates the house that the student is sorted into.
Castelomagia was the host of the 2021 Winter Waltz and has only been accessible through this event.
Geography & Environment
Castelomagia is located in the midst of a lush and green rainforest within Brazil. The large yellow temple is a building of opulence that overlooks cliffs and waterfalls. Flora and fauna overrun the castle’s surroundings, with the Conucko bird being ever-present around the school. The general climate is similar to that of Brazil’s tropical climate.
Notable Locations
The Aviary
The Aviary was located outside of the main castle of Castelomagia. It was a small yellow building that featured a glass dome as its roof. Inside the aviary, there was a tree that was home to the three types of Conucko birds: Conucko de Fogo, Conucko de Gelo, and Conucko de Raio. Here, students could take care of these birds and their eggs.
The Castelomagia Great Hall
The Great Hall was located on an upper level of the temple and featured four tables for each of the four houses. There was also a professors’ table that was situated at the back of the hall. During the holiday season, the room was covered in festive decorations and featured a large Christmas tree at its centre.
Trivia
- The uniforms for Castelomagia students are suited to the Brazilian tropical climate, being made out of a loose and flowy material.
- Students have to register to attend the magical school, they typically register six months before their 11th birthday.
