Location Information
Name: Mahounoshiro

Overview

Mahounoshiro can be found above the volcanic island of South Iwo Jima which is near Japan. In comparison to all of the magical schools, this one has the lowest amount of students that attend. This is mainly because no Unmagicals are allowed to attend the school. The building of the school is made of white stone and looks very similar to a pagoda, which is a tower-like structure.

Being created in ancient history, Mahounoshiro is one of the oldest magical academies. Additionally, the curriculum at Mahounoshiro is very challenging. Students that attended the school had cherry wood wands and were honoured anywhere they went. The youngest age for students to be accepted is seven years old and the oldest is 18 years old. The school has become known for Quabbleball due to a few Hogsworth students getting lost during their trip. Students of Mahounoshiro were quick to learn this sport as a result of practising it in extreme weather conditions.

Currently, Mahounoshiro has only been accessible during the Winter Waltz at Mahounoshiro 2020 event. When the school is accessible, students can visit Hattori Ayumu’s tomb. There are currently no other ways to access this location as of right now.

Geography & Environment

As Mahounoshiro is located in the tropical region of Japan, the weather is usually warm and humid. During the winter, the weather can get a lot colder and snow often occurs. Around spring, the cherry blossoms begin to bloom, making a majority of the trees a shade of pink.

Notable Locations

Quabbleball Practice Range

A spot for students to practise their skills in Quabbleball can be found on the southern side of the school. The ground was mostly made out of hay and there were nets to keep the quabble from flying out of the school grounds.

Storm Petrel Stables

Near the entrance of the school, stables for Storm Petrels could be found. These stables were filled with hay for the creatures to eat. In addition, there were a few crates and tables found inside the stable.

Trivia

  • Students start off with pink robes. If they achieve high grades, their robes will turn gold.
  • Any students who go against the Japanese wizard’s code or practise dark magic will have their robes turn white to show shame.
