May the Fourth 2021

Overview

For the 2021 May the Fourth event, players were able to hop aboard the Centennial Hawk and visit a Cantina in a Galaxy Far Far Away. Here, players could purchase exclusive rewards and explore other new gameplay features. The event lasted from May 4th to June 1st, 2021. This event also included the release of an all-new seasonal minigame, collectable crafting, as well as a new seasonal store item.

Storyline

There was no overarching storyline for the event.

Location

The main event hub was the Cantina, which had a main floor and a basement. To get there, players had to speak to Jayoda on the Centennial Hawk spaceship docked at the Hogsworth Boathouse. At the Cantina, players were able to take a seat by the fire pit, admire the Porgy pen, head down to the basement where the Plasma Blade Workshop resided, or talk to NPCs. They were also able to be sent on a dispatch mission to the Doom Moon by talking to a Rebel Commander. In order to travel to the deepest caves of Illius where Kryalite Geodes scarcely grew, players had to talk to an NPC known as Nightwitch Merana.

Quests

Escape the Doom Moon

An escape room quest, Escape the Doom Moon, could be accepted from the Rebel Commander at the Cantina. After picking up on some Imperial activity on the outskirts of the planet, the Rebel Commander requested for the player to scope out the area. Upon accepting and getting transported to the Doom Moon, some Imperials discover the player’s presence and lock them in a cell. From then onwards, the player needed to escape using the clues around them, solving puzzles along the way, and making their way off the Doom Moon to report back to the Rebel Commander. Upon completing this quest, the player was rewarded with 300 Star Tokens and 12 Metal Scrap.

Side Quests

There were no side quests in the event.

Activities

Travel to Illius

At the Cantina, players were able to talk to Nightwitch Merana about anything and all Kryalite-related topics. That included an option to gain travel access to Illius. At Illius, Kryalite Geode nodes were scattered about the caverns and had a chance to give Raw Kryalite when mined. Each node could be mined again after 12 hours, and, after every 25th mined node, an extra Raw Kryalite was granted to the player as a bonus.

Minigames

There were seasonal minigames added to /games, featuring new maps and gamemodes. Star Racing, a Sledding-type minigame, remained for the entire event’s duration. However, only one of the three different Star Battle game modes —team-based games of Rebels versus Imperials— were made available each week. For the first week, Star Battle: Payload was enabled. Then, Star Battle: Domination and finally Star Battle: Team Deathmatch proceeded. After polling on the Potterworld Discord server for players’ favourite gamemode, Star Battle: Payload came out as the victor and was re-enabled to end off the event. All of these games awarded the player with Digital Scrap, which could be converted to Metal Scrap at a 1 to 1 ratio, and Star Tokens.

Contests

There were no accompanying contests hosted alongside the event.

Rewards & Collectables

There were a variety of different event rewards that players were able obtain throughout the 2021 May the Fourth event. For this event, there were two types of collectables: purchasable and craftable. 

By talking to Crall Kestrel upon entering the Cantina, players could purchase Plushies, Toy Blasters, or Miscellaneous items with Star Tokens. These tokens were earned by participating in the seasonal minigames, completing the Escape from Doom quest, or trading in items. Within the basement of the Cantina, an NPC named Groff was available to trade in 10 Star Tokens for 20 Gold, 1 Raw Kryalite for 5 Star Tokens, or 1 Metal Scrap for 2 Star Tokens. In some seasonal minigames, temporary Credits collected while playing could also be converted to additional Star Tokens at a 10 to 1 ratio.

Plasma Blade collectables were also available to obtain in the event. However, rather than purchasing these, they instead needed to be crafted from two main components: a Hilt and a piece of Kryalite. Hilts were constructed in Cerela Juda’s Workshop in the Cantina’s basement from various components purchased from Groff, which either costed Star Tokens or Metal Scraps. Coloured Kryalite was obtained from trading in Raw Kryalite from Illius to Nightwitch Merana, who transformed and refined them. After crafting the corresponding Hilt and receiving the right coloured Kryalite, a player was able to fuse the two parts together to create a Plasma Blade.

• The Mercenary Bundle.

One new item, the Pet B-Unit, was introduced days later as well. These store items were made available until May 31st, 2021.
