Overview
Potioneer Marc Burgess is furious as a poltergeist has been messing with him. The poltergeist has been hiding his potions around town and is only giving him clues in the form of riddles. Return the missing potions and stop the poltergeist from wreaking havoc on the people of Griffin's Hollow.
Quest Progression
To begin this quest, speak to Marc Burgess in his Potions shop in Griffin’s Hollow!
Dialogue
- [1/4] Hey! You! I need some help. This insufferable poltergeist won't leave me alone!
- [2/4] They took some of my potions and will only tell me their locations in the form of impossible riddles! I have a note with all the riddles the poltergeist gave me, which will supposedly lead to where the objects are hidden.
- [3/4] The three objects that went missing were all the Dragon Plague Cures that I brewed specifically to treat the recent outbreak of Dragon Plague.
- [4/4] Do you think you can help me find them?
Objective 1 - Return 3 Dragon Plague Cures to Marc
Description
Solve the poltergeist's riddles listed on the note given to you by Marc to locate [3 Dragon Plague Cure], then return to Marc.
Dialogue
- [1/2] Thank you so much for getting these back! I'll need to go give them to those that were infected immediately.
- [2/2] In the meantime, that darn poltergeist is still sitting behind my store! Get them to scram.
Objective 2 - Convince Peter to leave
Description
Speak to Peter the Poltergeist behind the potions store and convince him to leave Marc alone.
Dialogue
- [1/3] Oooh a Hogsworth student? Hello there.
- [2/3] Just a wee little student can't scare me off.... Unless…
- [3/3] If you gathered [10 Ectoplasm] by killing ghosts in the cemetery, you would prove to be too strong for little old me to stand up against.
Player defeats 10 Ghosts and returns the Ectoplasm to Peter
- [1/5] HA you actually thought that if you gave me ectoplasm I would just leave?
- [2/5] I'm a poltergeist honey. I'm indestructible. You couldn't fight me even if you wanted to!
- [3/5] And ectoplasm happens to be the last thing I need in a special project of mine.
- [4/5] I am building a cannon that once used will make all ghosts visible to unmagicals and create absolute chaos!
- [5/5] There's no way you would find my secret lair beneath a grave at the church in time! I mean... I've revealed too much. Toodles!
Objective 3 - Locate Peter’s Lair and stop him
Description
Find Peter the Poltergeist's secret lair beneath the church and stop him before he finishes creating a canon that will make ghosts visible to unmagicals!
Dialogue
- [1/2] You're too late! I have completed my cannon and all ghosts are now visible to unmagicals!
- [2/2] Better luck next time.
