Scribbler Letdown

Overview
Lana Lovett is upset when the Scribbler's newest release may have been postponed because the batch of newspapers were infected with the Hijinx Mixture she was making. You must do an assortment of tasks to fully repair and remove the potion from the newspapers. After you help Lana, she gives you access to the magical feather warp key as a thank you.
Quest Progression
To begin the quest, speak with the Lana Lovett NPC at The Hovel located the north-east of Tristmoor.
Dialogue
- [1/4] Hiya (player)! I really need your help.
- [2/4] Well, you see, I was preparing a Hijinx Mixture for my Potions class, and, well, I sort of spilt it...
- [3/4] All of the Scribbler newspapers were infected with my potion, and I don't know what to do! My dad will be really mad if he finds out about this.
- [4/4] If you are willing to help, please go talk to James, one of the producers of the Scribbler. I'm sure he will be able to help us. Can you go to the Scribbler Building in Diagonal Lane and talk to him? It's the pink one near Shade Alley, toward the south end.
Objective 1 -Travel to Scribbler Building
Description
Speak to James at the Scribbler Building in Diagonal Lane to see how you can help disinfect the newspapers.
Dialogue
- [1/4] Welcome to the Scribbler, mate! Our next release is tomorrow, but feel free to check out our previous releases.
- [2/4] Lana did what? Are you kidding me? I'm supposed to help fix this?
- [3/4] I have definitely never disinfected a Hijinx Mixture from a newspaper before, but I think it's possible!
- [4/4] I need you to head over to Mr. Mulpepper's Apothecary. I know there are a lot of great potioneers around there, and I'm sure someone would be able to help you.
Objective 2 -Disinfect the newspapers
Description
Go to Mr. Mulpepper's Apothecary and speak to Mrs. Mulpepper about disinfecting the newspapers. Do the task she requires from you to retrieve [1 Paper Disinfectant], and then return to James to use it on the newspapers.
Dialogue
- [1/5] Hello sweetie, how are you doing? You what? How did you spill a potion on the newspapers?
- [2/5] I have an idea of something that could work as a solution, but you are going to need to prove your skills to me.
- [3/5] Knowledge is something I consider very important, dear. Let's see if you have been paying attention in Potions class.
- [4/5] Head upstairs to the second to top floor to reach the storage room. There is an assortment of potions lying around and I want to see what you can remember. Take [1 Potion Guide to Mobs] and pick 3 potions from upstairs.
- [5/5] Once you are done, come back to me. Don't take too long! You don't want your newspapers staying infected.
After collecting the potions
- [1/3] Perfect. Your taste in potions is definitely interesting, dear.
- [2/3] Now that you have collected these, go to the book beside me and take my potion quiz!
- [3/3] Make sure to read [1 Potion Guide to Mobs] if you are ever confused on what to answer. Good luck!
After taking the quiz
- [1/3] I am proud of your skills to say the least.
- [2/3] Well, here is what you asked for! I hope you enjoy [1 Paper Disinfectant], and please make sure you are more careful next time.
- [3/3] Potions can be dangerous, and they aren't something you play around with. Head back over to James and disinfect those newspapers! Tell him I said hello, I haven't seen him in a while.
Returning to James
- [1/3] This looks good! Thank you so much for getting this for me.
- [2/3] I am going to use this on the newspapers, and hopefully this should fix them.
- [3/3] Oh, Lana, always doing these things. Go ahead and use the magical feather to return to Lana Lovett.
Objective 3 -Return to Lana Lovett
Description
Use the magical feather to return to the Hovel and speak to Lana Lovett about your success with the disinfectant.
Dialogue
- [1/4] You're back? Wow, thank you so much for getting this handled for me. I really didn't mean for this to happen.
- [2/4] Hopefully, my dad won't find out about this. I don't want to get in any trouble.
- [3/4] Since you did this, I have to give you something. I'm going to give you access to the magical feather my father owns! It allows you to travel between the Scribbler Building and here.
- [4/4] This will be useful for your travels, and I'm sure it will help a lot! Thank you so much once again, and enjoy the easy travel!
