Overview
Amanda Mulpepper, most often known as Mrs. Mulpepper by patrons of the apothecary she owns in Diagonal Lane in magical London with her husband, was born in Squalus Cove. Raised sailing the sea with her parents, she helped her mother in the wheelhouse but preferred to watch the waves instead. She was so beloved that when her family came ashore, she was treated like a princess. To this day, her mother still sails the seas, while her father passed a handful of years ago.
Throughout her travels, she spent time collecting flowers, herbs, and other plants. Her room on the ship eventually began to resemble a greenhouse and, when she was sent to Hogsworth, she brought as many plants as she could. At Hogsworth, she was sorted into Honeybadger and was able to explore her love of Herbology.
In her second year at Hogsworth, she met her future husband, a Raven student a year above her named Jacque Mulpepper. Often bumping into each other, he eventually started walking her to classes and helping her with homework. He continuously invited her to his Quabbleball practices and games, which she always went to. Despite being so close, they only became an official couple in her sixth year.
One winter evening, they both sat down and talked about their future; both then agreed to get married. The very next day they bought matching engagement rings. Jacque and Amanda were engaged for over a year before getting married on August 24th, 2001.
Since they began running the apothecary, they both decided not to have children, as they were far too busy and did not feel like they were fit to be parents. Instead, they put their energy into running the shop.
At the apothecary, Mrs. Mulpepper tends to brew various sets of potions that are ordered by patrons. She also is very close with the owners of the B&B above the shop and often lends a hand to them when necessary. Despite not having kids, she tends to be seen as a motherly figure due to her great kindness and passion for helping people.
As an NPC, she is encountered during the Scribbler Letdown quest after James Hordan, a friend of hers, refers players to her. Players need to find her inside the apothecary across from Jollivan’s Wand Shop and get her help with the Hijinx mixture and newspapers. Before the player can receive help, she tests their knowledge with a quiz before giving the solution needed for the quest.
