Community Management

The Community Management department is one of the largest departments on Potterworld. The goal of Community Management is to create a better experience for the playerbase, whether this be through moderating the server, implementing suggestions, managing events for the community and staff team, or creating a wikipedia for the players to use.

Sub-Departments

Moderation

The Moderation sub-department is in charge of keeping the server’s platforms appropriate for all players, whether this be on the Discord, forums, or in-game. The roles within Moderation are Jr. Prefects, Prefects, Sr. Prefects (in-game moderators), Discord Moderators, and the Wizencouncil team (forum moderators). The in-game moderators assist with taking care of players who disobey the rules and answer tickets that come in every day. Discord Moderators help to keep the Potterworld Discord safe and family-friendly. The Wizencouncil team moderates the forums and assist in dealing with the website support tickets.

Poltergeists

The Poltergeist sub-department is in direct communication with the playerbase for suggestions to help improve the server. They read through the suggestions on the forums and accept ideas that they believe are for the better of Potterworld. Poltergeists also test through gameplay, such as events or updates, to make sure they are suitable for the players on the server.

Inquisitors

The Inquisitorial sub-department is in charge of planning events to engage with both the playerbase and the staff team. They plan and host Community Engagement Activities for everyone to enjoy. The Inquisitors also plan staff-only events, including Team Appreciation Day.

Scribes

The Scribe sub-department is one of the more back-end sections of the Community Management department. They are in charge of creating and publishing pages for the public wikipedia. The Scribe Interns write the pages that go onto the website, while the Scribe Publishers edit and implement the pages written.

Management

Like most departments, Community Management has a leadership team that runs the sub-departments within. In Community Management, the leadership team consists of the sub-department leads, the Assistant to Head of Community Management, and the Head of Community Management.

Head of Community Management

The Assistant to Head of Community Management is the second-in-command leader of the department. They serve to assist the Head in running the department and managing everyone within. If the Head of Community Management is absent, the Assistant is seen as the leader of the department until the Head’s return.
