Mailboxes
Overview
The mail system has been around for quite some time, allowing players to send and receive mail to each other via mailboxes. Upon logging onto the server, players will see a message in chat whether they have unread mail or not. There are mailboxes located throughout the world, more specifically in towns. Additionally, all the mailbox locations can be found on the /map. Each player has their own mailbox that lets them view their mail.
How to Use
In order to use a mailbox, a player must click the mailbox. Mailboxes typically look like an owl perched on a golden stand containing mail or a wooden block with a metal border and a mail symbol atop. Mailboxes can be found in various towns. In addition, players can purchase them from the Mine Depot section when talking to their House Elf. It can be placed on their housing plot and can be removed by simultaneously shifting and right-clicking.
Checking Mail
To check mail, click the mailbox to open the GUI. Then, click “Check your mail” icon located on the left side. A second GUI will pop up after clicking the icon. This shows what mail can be claimed at the time. The icon that appears in this GUI appears as a piece of paper, but, when hovering over it, it shows the contents of the mail. Mail within this GUI will be sorted from newest to oldest. In addition, players can see who the mail is from and when it was sent. There can be more than 35 items in the mailbox, which can be toggled via pages. Before claiming mail, players must make sure to have some inventory spaces open or else they will not be able to claim it. A message will appear in chat if a player does not have enough inventory slots to claim everything in the mail.
Sending Mail
When sending mail, click the mailbox to open the GUI. From there, select the “Send Mail” option on the right side. Upon clicking the icon, players will be prompted to enter in the in-game chat the IGN or nickname of the player they would like to send mail to. The name must be entered within 10 seconds or else it will not work. A second GUI will pop up once the name of the player is entered. Players can select the items from their inventory that they would like to send. It is important to remember that players may only send up to 5 different items at a time through the mail system. The maximum amount of mail that can be viewed in the GUI is 225, which is spread across five pages.
