Overview
Draven Krauss, the leader of the Deep Forest's Dark Follower Camp, is very distressed. His daughter Isabella was hit by an unknown curse and on the brink of death after a recent Auralock raid. He does not wish to leave his daughter’s bedside and begs you to assist him in preventing her from dying.
Quest Progression
To begin this quest, speak to the Draven Krauss NPC at the Dark Follower camp in the Deep Forest.
Dialogue
- [1/6] Well well. It seems a Hogsworth student has wandered into the Dark Follower camp.
- [2/6] Perhaps not the brightest Hogsworth student then... I am Draven Krauss, you may have heard of me.
- [3/6] I am the Dark Follower trusted to run this camp and deal with the pesky Auralocks and Phoenixes that have also set up camps in this forest.
- [4/6] It seems their mission is to completely destroy us, even our youngest. That injured young girl over there is my daughter Isabella. She may not make it through the night...
- [5/6] The only thing I can think of that may help in time is Unicorn blood, though it places a curse on those who receive its healing properties.
- [6/6] I just can't bring myself to leave her bedside to fetch some. Would you be willing to help me retrieve [5 Unicorn Blood] then make [1 Concentrated Unicorn Blood] at the table beside me? I'll give you as much gold as you can carry, please just help my daughter.
Objective 1 - Make Isabella Concentrated Unicorn Blood
Description
Retrieve [5 Unicorn Blood] by killing Unicorns in the Deep Forest. Then, fill [1 Vial] with it at Draven's crafting station to create [1 Concentrated Unicorn Blood]. Give the potion to Draven once it is complete.
Dialogue
- [1/4] You did it! You got the Unicorn blood! I can't thank you enough, let me give it to her immediately.
- [2/4] Ah... It seems to have stabilized her, though she still isn't waking up. I suppose that doesn't give me many options.
- [3/4] We need to create a Soulcrux, which is a magical object that will contain a fragment of her soul and keep her in this world. It is a form of dark magic as it requires a murder, though we will get to that later.
- [4/4] To create the Soulcrux, we will need an object of significance to Isabella. Fortunately, the Krauss family has a tomb hidden away in the Deep Forest. It's just south of the Dark Follower camp and lies along the lakefront. Find it and bring me back her mother's locket, which was sealed away in the tomb.
Objective 2 - Retrieve the Krauss Family Heirloom
Description
Locate the Krauss Family tomb south of the Dark Follower camp along the lakefront. Then, retrieve [1 Krauss Locket] and return it to Draven.
Dialogue
- [1/1] Thank you for retrieving the heirloom. Now... meet me in the Command Tent so that we can begin the Soulcrux ritual.
Objective 3 - Assist Draven in the Soulcrux Ritual
Description
Meet Draven in the Command Tent and assist him in performing the Soulcrux ritual.
Dialogue
- [1/2] To create a Soulcrux, there must be a murder...
- [2/2] And it seems there is a Hogsworth student here that would be the perfect target. Ready to begin?
Objective 4 - Defeat Draven
Description
Defeat Draven in the Command Tent to prevent him from using your life force to create a Soulcrux.
Dialogue
- [1/4] I-I've just received word that Isabella woke up. The Unicorn blood just took a minute to begin working.
- [2/4] We don't need the Soulcrux after all... I am so sorry I didn't intend for it to be this way. I hope you understand that I would do anything for my daughter.
- [3/4] Your duelling skills were better than I anticipated and I will pay you generously for the immense help you've been in saving her life. Thank you.
- [4/4] I will also give you access to the tunnel behind our camp. Though it will be of no use to you now, it should allow you to travel between camps more easily once granted access to the other sides.
Tips
- Draven believes that he needs to create a Soulcrux to save his daughter’s life. In order to use this dark magic, he says that he needs to kill you! Duel Draven before he uses your life for his Soulcrux!
