Location Information
Name: Dark Follower Camp

Overview

The Dark Follower Camp is home to none other than the disreputable roleplay allegiance, the Dark Followers. It is located far inside the Deep Forest and hidden by tall pine trees and shrubs, making it the perfect spot for the Dark Followers to partake in their questionable activities while staying under the radar.

The Dark Follower Camp was not originally situated where it is currently. It all started when a Dark Follower, Enoch Ringold, was exploring the Deep Forest when he discovered an obscure meadow brimming with rare and mysterious plants, as well as a frayed old diary. When Enoch opened the diary, he found fascinating entries about the unknown plants that inhabited the meadow. What Enoch found the most intriguing though, was the Nocen’s Bliss, a plant that has extraordinary healing properties. In haste, Enoch delivered the diary to the Dark Lord. The Dark Lord agreed that the plants and the information may help them in the future, and sent a large group of followers, led by Enoch, to set up a camp near the meadow to gain easier access to the plants.

However, with time, Enoch grew incredibly greedy and arrogant. He pushed himself to his limits, overworking everyone to harvest as much Nocen’s Bliss as he could. The slow-growing plant started to bloom less, leaving only one left, which was saved for a severely ill Dark Follower. Thinking there would be no consequences for his inconsiderate actions, Enoch stole the very last Nocen’s Bliss for himself. Fortunately, Akeros, a centaur who had resided in the meadow for much longer than the existence of the Dark Follower Camp, had witnessed Enoch commit this evil deed. This truly angered Akeros, and he stomped over to confront Enoch. Enoch fled at the sight of the centaur.

Not long after, Akeros and his fellow centaurs managed to drive all the Dark Followers away from the camp, leaving it abandoned. After being forced out of the meadow, the Dark Followers had nowhere to go, nor someone to lead their group. Without reluctance, four Krauss siblings, Ophelia, Cornelius, Nora, and Marcus bravely decided to take the lead. Although some members of the group were hesitant about this decision, they followed through regardless, as they did not really have any other options.

For many years, everything went very smoothly. Each sibling had their own role to keep the rest of the members in check, Ophelia being the main leader, Cornelius being the duelling teacher, Nora being the explorer, and Marcus being the healer. The Dark Lord was content with their work. Unluckily, the siblings' successful reign soon came to an end due to an unknown disease that they all possessed. Because of the overharvesting of the Nocen’s Bliss, the group couldn’t harvest any that they could use to heal the siblings. The four siblings appointed their youngest sibling, Draven, the role of the group leader. Due to his young age, he was not fit to be a leader yet, so the senior members were given the task of raising Draven into becoming the new leader.

The Dark Follower Camp can be found on the northwestern part of the map near Haggleton. The location can be visited at any level, but surrounding mobs are meant for players that are Level 65 and above. Flying on a broom is the best way to get to the camp.

Geography & Environment

The Dark Follower Camp is surrounded by a tall, rigid log fence. Many earth-toned tents are scattered around the camp, and a faint glow from the lanterns and crackling campfires can be seen from a distance. Many weeds, shrubs and trees have grown inside of the camp area, and stacks of crates blanketed with dust lie around the tents. The Deep Forest, being a coniferous forest, has a relatively temperate climate meaning that summers are humid and warm, but winters are cold, frosty and windy.
