Overview
Mathaelda is one of the few NPC’s which can be found all over the world. She likes to travel all over the wizarding world, where she can bring her famous Recipe Book filled with all the documented potions and magical treats of the world and sell it for her… obscure price of 37 gold. She’s been to almost every major town, and even stops at the Dwelling occasionally to offer Mary some help with her cooking. She stands beside her magical cooking and brewing stations, offering a helping hand to anyone who wants to learn a new Profession.
Recipe Book
The Recipe Book that Mathaelda offers is the only travel-sized resource on the ingredients for the wizarding world’s documented potions and treats. If there is a recipe that can be made outside of a classroom (and legally), it is written into her best-selling book. This special book can be purchased from any one of her crafting stations around the world for a price of 37 gold.
Not only does she include the mob drop ingredients necessary for their creation, but she also delves briefly into the Herbology Profession, which when combined with the potions and treats makes them as magical as any wand, witch, or wizard.
Luckily, Mathaelda’s writing is sympathetic to the struggles of starting potion and treat makers; she included both the recipes for graduates and earlier years, keeping in mind that many potions are simply too difficult for beginners. On top of that, in order to make it more navigable, Mathaelda split the entries by year and profession. There are separate lists within the Recipe Book for every year indicating what each level is capable of making; these lists are also split by cooking and potion-brewing.
