Overview

Greenshore Harbour, which is located on Greenshore Island, is a town many witches and wizards may not be familiar with. Marked as a nature preserve, magizoologists flock to this island and its town out of sparked interests. In 1962, the Ministry of Magicians’ magical creature research program founded the Greenshore Island Testing Facility, which was led by Lazarus Crowley. The main focus of this facility was to study the dragons that inhabited the island. As the facility expanded over decades, the project became shrouded with secrecy after the disappearance of Crowley. Magicals can apply for a permit to visit the island, but the testing facility does not allow outside visitation. 

The town of Greenshore Harbour is a small community located on Greenshore Island. Those living on the island serve to accommodate visiting groups of tourists, biologists, and researchers. The system of docks service to the passing ships as well as the bi-weekly ferry from the mainland. However, travel to Greenshore Harbour has been currently restricted due to an ongoing rampage of dragons. Before 1962, the town was a hub for farmers. When the government took over, no new settlers were allowed to purchase land and crops as they began to be sold to the testing facility. Over the decades, the public went against the government and farmers neglected their farms. There are still a few farmers on the island to this day, but they resent supplying the facility. 

Greenshore Harbour is located on the northeastern side of the world map on Greenshore Island, which is found to the east of Great Britain. Access to the island can only be unlocked through level 79 quest, The Greenshore Excursion.

Players can access the shady dealer and vendors on the west side of the town near the docks. On the east side, the fire dust network, bank vaults, and the marketplace can be accessed.

Geography & Environment

Greenshore Island is flat for the most part with no mountains. The east side of the town has many abandoned buildings and farmland. The northern half of the island is very open with few trees. Being a coastal location, Greenshore Harbour is found to be quite warm. South of the town, there are forests with colder weather.

Notable Locations

Some notable locations in Greenshore Harbour include the Greenshore Island Testing Facility 6680 7 1775 and the nearby pirate ship 6092 6 2614. The Greenshore Island Testing Facility is currently scattered with dragons inhabiting the area. Most of the facility is still intact, but there are parts destroyed. The pirate ship allows players to talk to Captain Jane who is a part of the graduate quest, Into the Dark. After the completion of Into the Dark, players can use that to travel to the Dark Prison.

Creatures & Plants

Greenshore Harbour has two unique creatures nearby: Dragons and Nundooms. The Dragons inhabit the abandoned testing facilities on the easetern side of the island, while Nundooms are typically found in a forest clearing on the southern part of Greenshore Island.

Players can find two types of plant nodes in Greenshore Harbour: Lvl. 70 Wormwood and Lvl. 70 Puffing Pod. These plants can be used for the potion and cooking professions. Level 70 Wormwood can be used for Jester’s Stew VIII, Jester’s Stew IX, Hijinx Mixture VIII, and Hijinx Mixture IX. Level 70 Puffing Pod can be used for Puffing Pod Fudge VIII, Puffing Pod Tea VIII, Jester’s Tea IX, Puffing Pod IX, Puffing Pod Tea IX, Transformation Tonic VIII, and Transformation Tonic IX.

Trivia

• There were some notable people that lived in Greenshore Harbour. This included Fenrir Draconov, Katherine Fortner, Abernathy and Margaret Rollstead. Fenrir operated the Isle Farm Supply Co., which was supplying to farmers until the dragon breakout caused trouble for his business. Katherine owned a small shop that had camping supplies, but the day of the dragon breakout, everything was burned to the ground. The Rollstead family owned the Rockshire Farm. However, that was burned along with their home.
