Potterworld’s 8th Anniversary 2022

Overview

Potterworld’s 8th Anniversary was a mini-event that took place from May 18th to June 11th, 2022. There were multiple locations for the players to explore, along with quests that involved preparing for a party celebrating the anniversary.

Storyline

There were different Anniversary locations for players to warp to, including Oakport, the Tower, and the Survival world. The event started at an old version of the Great Hall. From there, players would help find hats, plan parties, and, in Oakport, help fishermen. At the Tower, players even got to catch a hair thief.

Location

The first location was an old version of Hogworth’s Great Hall. Second, was a town that used to be in the game named Oakport. Oakport was a town that bordered the sea, mountains, and forest. The third location was a Tower that housed Rapunzel. From the Tower, you could find a cave system that led back to Oakport. Finally, the fourth location was the old Survival world. You can see what these locations look like in the playthrough.

Quests

There were three quests during Potterworld’s 8th Anniversary. These quests were called Hat Hassle, Party Planner, and Loathed Locks.

Hat Hassle

In Hat Hassle, the Head Table members in Hogsworth were missing their hats. Talking to each table member missing a hat would give players clues to where each one was. Players had to travel to the different locations to find the hats. Then they had to give each table member the hat, which correlated with them.

Party Planner

In Party Planner, Meghan was trying to throw Potterworld’s 8th Anniversary party. She needed the players’ help to throw the best Anniversary party possible.

Loathed Locks

In Loathed Locks, players had to travel to Rapunzel’s Tower. Here, they found Rapunzel in need of help to find out who in Oakport cut her hair while she was asleep. Players had to follow clues to figure out who the hair thief was.

Side Quests

There were two side quests during Potterworld’s 8th Anniversary. These side quests were called Shipment Shenanegins and Celebration Spirit.

Shipment Shenanigans

In Shipment Shenanigans, Farmer Tom and Fisherman Tim needed help completing chores so they could deal with their shipments on time. Players had to assist Tom and Tim in their chores each day.

Celebration Spirit

In Celebration Spirit, Mayor Jenna needed the players’ help to spread celebration spirit for the Anniversary. Players had to make gift baskets and distribute them throughout the town to brighten the moods and spirit of the townspeople.

Activities

Oakport Mob Hunt

The Oakport Mob Hunt was a daily activity that if completed would reward the player and give them the title “mob hunter”. Each day the player had to go to the surrounding areas of Oakport and kill different mobs. These mobs included three Poison Toads and Bowleaves, five Ents, Trolls, Undeads, and Fairies, and eight Lunarcalves and Thunderhawks.

Minigames

Throughout the event, players could play through some minigames to earn Event Tokens.

Contests

There was a writing and skin competition during the event. At the end of the event, the winners were announced. The reward they could have received was one store item that was under $10 USD and 400 Potter Points.

Store Releases

The 8th Anniversary Releases & Sale was a store release and sale that happened during the event. The sale lasted from May 18th to May 23rd, 2022. All of the items, except the New Releases category, were 50% off. The three items released were:
