==Overview==

−
Hogsend is a picturesque village located near [[Hogsworth|Hogsworth School of Witchcraft and Wizardry]]. The village was built in the 10th century by Hendrix of Woodfort, a medieval wizard who had fled from the Unmagical world. The town is often frequented by Hogsworth students during the weekends, as there are many stores and cafes to explore.

−
The village originated from one single building and a farm that Hendrix used to sustain himself. During the 11th century, more wizarding folk settled at Hogsend, and the settlement became a full-fledged village. In the 17th century, Hogsend became the headquarters for wizards during the Goblin rebellion. When the rebellion came to an end, the wizarding community expanded the village so more wizards could settle there. This led to the creation of more stores, which eventually brought more business and tourism to Hogsend.

−
After the Second Wizarding War, the village of Hogsend had become the site of ruin and destruction. However, with the strong sense of community that the wizards of Hogsend shared, they were able to repair and restore the village to its former glory.

====== The Haunted Shack ======
−
The Haunted Shack is located southeast of Hogsend. The rundown house is situated by itself on a snow-covered hill. Signs surround the shack, warning people not to get close. The Haunted Shack, since being built in the 1970s, has been plagued by rumours and stories of it being haunted. The shack was built as a safe place for Regis Lupien, a student who attended Hogsworth and suffered from werewolf transformations. A secret passageway that connects to the roots of the Wicked Willow can be found in The Haunted Shack. The exterior of the shack is primarily made out of dark wood. The exterior also features a broken cobblestone chimney and boarded-up windows. The interior of The Haunted Shack is in a state of ruin, featuring peeling wallpaper and many crates.

Overview

Hogsend is a picturesque village located near Hogsworth School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The village was built in the 10th century, and is often frequented by Hogsworth students during the weekends, as there are many stores and cafes to explore.

Players can find the village of Hogsend located on the eastern side of the map. The location can be accessed at any level, however, the level range of this location is 15 and above. Players will mainly access Hogsend through the quest Journey to Hogsend. After this quest, players can access this location by talking to the Jasper NPC who is located inside the Hogsworth Boathouse.

At Hogsend players can find the Fire Dust Network in the restaurant of The Broomsticks Inn. The Crafting Centre can be found inside a storage building that is located directly opposite Honeysweets. Tommy Riddle is located just outside this storage building. The Marketplace can also be found next to the storage building. The Vendor is located in the building next to Wenlock’s Wand Repair Shop. The Bank Vault is located near the southern end of the village. To access it, locate Hogsend Bank and right-click the lever. There is not a Shady Dealer located in Hogsend. The Hogsend Reputation taskboard is found outside and to the right of The Broomsticks Inn's entrance. Similarly, the Dueling Halls NPC can be found across from The Broomsticks Inn's entrance.

Geography & Environment

Hogsend is a snow-covered village that features many shops and cottages. The buildings of Hogsend are made out of cobblestone bricks and have tall wooden roofs. Cobblestone pathways weave throughout the town and are lined with street lamps. Fountains and wells that are frozen over with ice can also be found throughout the town.

Snow covers the surrounding landscape of the village. However, there are grass plains and thickets of forest that lie on the edges of the town. A small stream also lies west of Hogsend. The general climate of Hogsend is cold, with snow being a prevalent weather condition.

Notable Locations

Hogsend Station

Hogsend Station is a train station that is used by the Hogsworth Express. It is used to transport Hogsworth students and Honeysweets’ ingredients back and forth from London. The Hogsworth Express Conductor is in charge of maintaining the train while at the station. The station was built in the 19th century and features only two platforms. A bridge that is built out of bricks and red blocks is used to travel across the platforms.
