Reputation

Overview

Reputation is a new gameplay update created by the Game Designer team and released in July 2022. Being a massive update, Reputation was released in two separate phases, which involved an array of different towns. This fresh update provided players with challenging yet rewarding tasks repeatable every twelve hours.

In Reputation tasks, players have to help six residents in each town. These specific tasks include killing mobs, finding missing people, brewing potions, and even collecting plants. Upon completing the task, players are rewarded Gold, Experience and Reputation. To access these tasks, players must be the appropriate level required for the town.

Through gathering Reputation by completing the tasks, players are able to unlock different rewards. These rewards range from an XP boost on mobs to certain housing sceneries or cosmetics. For the more competitive players, there is a leaderboard set up in each town for the opportunity to rise to the top.

Gameplay

Taskboard

In each Reputation town, there will be a Taskboard available. This can usually be found in the centre of a town with yellow sparks surrounding it. Upon clicking the Taskboard, it will show players the six tasks which are available in that town.

When players hover over a task, they can see the overview as well as the starting NPC and its coordinates. Once players click on a specific task, the starting coordinates and directions will be shown on the Enchanted Compass. Players can claim the quest compass for free in /me.

After completing a task, a green tick will show in the place of the task description, and a 12-hours cooldown will begin. Players will have to wait until the 12 hours have completed before the task becomes available again.

Vending Machine

Similarly to the Taskboard, a Vending Machine will be available in each Reputation town. Typically found near the Taskboard, the Vending Machine can be unlocked after reaching Tier 3 of the rewards.

Each vending machine is filled with different types of collectables ranging from decorative heads to unique scarves, which can be purchased with Gold after the vending machine is unlocked.

Skills

Each reputation task has a skill associated with it. There are a total of six skills per town: Cooking, DADA, Divination, Herbology, Potions and Transfiguration. Cooking requires players to harness their cooking skills and create a dish with ingredients gathered by themselves. DADA has players wander through the wilderness in order to defeat a magical creature. Divination requires players to practice their divination skills by searching for a missing person. In Herbology, players will need to explore the vast amount of magical plants and collect the ones needed. For Potions, players are instructed to collect ingredients and get hands-on experience by brewing potions. Finally, in Transfiguration, players must get creative and create new magical objects.

Tiers

To make Reputation task interesting and worth working towards as a goal, different unlockable tiers and rewards have been included with this update. By gaining more Reputation through daily tasks, players are able to unlock each tier by attaining a required amount of Reputation.

Each task completed gives the player 10 Reputation, and a total of 60 Reputation can be earned every 12 hours from the six tasks available per town. Each town has unique tiers and rewards. To unlock a town’s special prizes, players have to gain Reputation for that specific town.

Rewards

Each town has a different series of rewards that players can obtain by unlocking a certain tier. These rewards can range from small items such as a care package, XP boost or a town rememberball, which works like a portable taskboard. Bigger rewards, such as unlocking the town’s vending machine, legendary gear or even a permanent town Warp Key are also available. There are also exclusive town-related rewards such as scarves, wand or housing appearances or even unique cosmetic items.

Below is a list of the types of rewards that are given out when a Reputation Tier has been unlocked.

Tier 4	2000 Reputation	A permanent, no cooldown warp to the town via the Warp Key
Tier 5	3500 Reputation	A town-specific reward, such as a cosmetic, a scenery, or a unique collectable model

Trivia

• Reputation was released in two updates. Phase one consisted of nine towns, while phase two consisted of an additional eight towns.
• When Reputation was first released, the number of Reputation that a player could get receive per task between 10-15, but was changed to a fixed amount of 10 Reputation after the update.
• By clicking on a task on the taskboard, your compass will automatically be set to the task location. This will make it easier to find the task.
